As Above, so below - The magician manifestation spread

Hello there and welcome to January 2026. As you read earlier this year is the year of the Fire Horse and Wheel of Fortune… You can imagine the amount of momentum this year wants to bring. Put down that lap bar and hold on because it’s gonna be a bumpy ride energy ya know? Often when I find myself in a place of immense energy, I find it can be a task redirecting the energy towards a productive means. Oftentimes I let it overwhelm and pull me down like a wave. Does this sound familiar to anyone else?

If you struggle with this like I do, then this spread is for you. While the Numerology of the year corresponds to the Wheel of Fortune (2+0+2+6=10 and the tenth Major Arcana is the Wheel) if you further reduce down the a single digit you get 1, the card of the Magician. This is what inspired me to create this spread based on the Magician, during those times you feel the Wheel of Fortune is spinning out of control around you.

For a little prep work, take a moment and center yourself… Hard to do with everything spinning faster and faster I understand… but just take in three deep breaths. That’s all you need is three. And imagine what you want to create and make happen this year and imagine the energy from the Universe coming to you… As you focus on this energy, pull two cards and imagine you’re the Magician pulling this energy from the Universe and grounding into the Earth, letting it energize you to manifest your goals. Place the first card in the upper left hand corner of your workspace and the second card in the lower right hand of your workspace (for an added bonus place the Magician card in the middle). And here you have two cards to reflect on: 1. Your intention (As Above) and 2. The Manifestation (So Below). Think of the first card as what energy can you draw upon from the world around your and your spirit guides and the second card as what steps can you take to bring it into the world and manifest it.
