Awww October. Time for a little spoopiness and frivolity, time to prepare costumes and Jack-O-Lanterns and candy corn... Okay you may not like that last one... but you know I enjoy them once in awhile.
In my line of business we used to joke that Halloween was the date new baby drag queens were born. All those who wanted to give it a whirl and twirl in their new heels and new wigs ... Probably purchased at a costume store. And they would get out there and just prance loving every moment of their new found identity. Because let's face it... It's fun to dress up. Whether it's a suit, dress, or kaftan... Dressing up as someone different than ourselves for one night can be a lot of fun. This imagination fun is something I love to teach during Tarot lessons as imagination is what helps me see the story the cards want to lay out in front of me. And it's pretty cool too.
So grab a pumpkin spice latte or apple carmel macchiato, sit back and let's do a little Tarot reading. As you read take in a few deep breaths and bring yourself to the moment. This moment right now. Let go of the past and future they are out of your grasp; just be here with me right now. As you bring yourself to the hear and now think of a number from one, two or three. Remember you are in mastery of your passion but it can only take you so far; bring some care and patience to your month (King of Wands). The Blessed Child reminds you to tap back into your innocence and purity.
Pile 2:
Pile 2 people here is your message for October. This month feel the mastery of your emotions and what it's brought to you (King of Cups). This ease and contentment will give you a chance to really take pride in all the things you've undertaken that are beginning to pay off and bear fruit, literally and metaphorically (Seven of Pentacles). Take a moment to share your joy with yourself or with someone else (Four of Wands). The Live Oak is a reminder that you are building up your longeivty by investing in those long terms things now. Why not ride that wave and trust you already have what it takes to withstand any trial thrown your way (Strength). The Peacock is letting you know it's okay to have pride in what you do but be on guard it doesn't turn into vanity.
